You can, in most cases, click through for further information, eg from the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications.
Where there is further information - such as where particular pathways, combinations or other restrictions apply - this will be indicated in your results.
Each entry indicates which professional engineering institutions have approved the programme or qualification.
Please note: 'Expired status' - last certification date may be 2-3 years later; check the Ofqual Register or SQA details where they are available.
The 'start' and 'end' dates shown here refer to national qualification or programme accreditation dates.

Additional Information

There are two routes to registration as an Engineering Technician or ICT Technician:

Standard route
The Database of Technician Qualifications includes programmes and qualifications that have been approved as providing evidence of part or all of the required competence to achieve EngTech or ICTTech registration. See UK-SPEC or the ICTTech Standard for further information.

Individual route
Potential registrants who have no formal qualification or training are able to demonstrate that they have acquired the necessary competence through substantial work experience. Thus individuals without the qualifications listed in this database may apply for an individual route assessment. This process, administered by the applicant’s institution, includes assessment of prior learning and of current competence. Evidence of employer recognition of competences and relevant skills may be helpful.

See EngTech information in UK-SPEC or the ICTTech Standard for further information.

To apply for professional registration you must be a member of a licensed professional engineering institution. Your chosen institution will assess your competence and eligibility for professional registration.

The Engineering Council also holds details of accredited programmes that fully or partially satisfy the education requirements for CEng and IEng registration. Use the accredited course search to find those details.
