The Engineering Council would like to congratulate the registered engineers and technicians who have been shortlisted as finalists in this year’s Engineering Talent Awards (ETAs).
Several Engineering Council registrants and engineering colleagues have been recognised in the 2025 Birthday Honours List, which celebrates the extraordinary achievements and service of individuals. The engineers honoured come from different fields and specialisms but have all achieved distinguished contributions to the UK.
The Engineering Council extends its congratulations to the registrants who are among the winners of the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) annual Top 50 Women in Engineering awards (WE50), announced on International Women in Engineering Day (INWED).
The Engineering Council has updated its Guidance on Whistleblowing for engineers and technicians, which is now available on our website. This guidance is for all engineering professionals who have concerns about wrongdoing, risk or malpractice affecting others.
To mark International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) on 23 June, the Engineering Council and EngineeringUK are honouring the remarkable contributions of women engineers who are shaping the profession around the world.
The Engineering Council would like to congratulate Amy Smith IEng MIMechE, Senior Aerospace Engineer with the Royal Navy, on receiving the 2025 Baroness Platt of Writtle Award. The announcement was made at a presentation ceremony in London in June.
