Using our logo
Engineering Council brand guidelines
The Engineering Council logo represents trust, professionalism and the highest standards in engineering. To maintain its integrity, the use of our logo is strictly controlled — its use can only be permitted in the following situations:
- On documents issued on behalf of the Engineering Council
- On the professional stamp available to registrants from the Engineering Council
- On the letterheads of the Engineering Council’s Licensed Professional Engineering Institutions (PEIs)
Use of our logo in media or press coverage may be approved on request.
'Licensed by' logo
This logo may only be used by Licensed professional engineering institutions. It must be used solely in relation to activities covered by that licence, including engineering Standards, course accreditation and professional registration. This is available in English and Welsh.

Professional Affiliate logo
Organisations formally recognised as Professional Affiliates of the Engineering Council may use the Professional Affiliate logo to demonstrate their official relationship with the Engineering Council.

Other logos
The Engineering Council provides a range of additional logos to help communicate professional recognition and programme accreditation. Click on the links below to find out more and view the usage guidelines.
- Individual registrant logos: for registrants to emphasise their professional status.
- Accredited degree logos: for education and training providers to demonstrate that their programmes have been recognised as counting towards professional registration. This is available in English and Welsh.
- Recognised programme logos: for education and training providers to demonstrate that their qualifications have been recognised as contributing to professional registration. This is available in English and Welsh.
- EUR-ACE label: for providers of accredited degree programmes to comply with the European EUR ACE® quality framework.
EUR-ACE label
The use of the EUR-ACE® label is a further tool for universities to promote the status of their accredited engineering degree programmes, both within and beyond Europe.
