Caroline, a Chartered Engineer (CEng), joined the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed) in March 2020 with a career background in manufacturing and nuclear decommissioning providing a wealth of consultative, project management, problem solving and people skills, and technical insight into a wide range of regulatory requirements.
Caroline is involved in standards work at policy level with BSI and is a UK representative at ISO reviewing various standards relevant to the SAFed membership, such as ISO17020 for inspection bodies and IS017024 for personnel certification.
She is the chair for the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) Policy Advisory Forum and Committee and is heavily invested in many collaborative industry forums and initiatives.
Caroline is passionate about improving the understanding of engineering in the wider world to ensure those with the potential to be future engineers appreciate that there is a role for them.
In 2024 she was named in the Kings’ Birthday Honours for services to Business and Engineering.
