Margaret Graham CEng Hon FIET
Margaret is a chartered electrical/electronic and radio frequency (RF) engineer who has worked in the nuclear industry for over thirty years. Currently working at the international fusion project, ITER, in the south of France, she is responsible for the transmission line sub-system that forms part of the 20MW, 30 to 55MHz Ion Cyclotron Heating System and is ITER’s representative on the research board for The Welding Institute (TWI).
She has completed a variety of activities to encourage and support engineering throughout her career, such as working with schools as a STEM ambassador, setting up and running accredited professional development schemes and mentoring programs, and working with the IET in a number of areas, one being as a member of the Registrations and Standards committee.
As a member of the Engineering Council board, Margaret ensures the highest standard of engineering competence is achieved across all disciplines and at all levels, thus giving public confidence and respect in an industry and profession she thoroughly believes in.
