Mike McLoughlin CEng FIMechE FIET

Mike McLoughlin has had 40 years’ experience in the nuclear, water and paper industries. He commenced this as a mechanical technician apprentice and is now is a Responsible Engineer and Design Lead for Sellafield Ltd’s Site Wide Services. Mike has had experience of many facets of engineering including design, commissioning and management of multi-discipline teams.
Mike was a Vice-Chair for the IMechE’s Professional Review Committee and has also helped establish nascent branches of the IMechE in Azerbaijan and Oman. He is committed to the professional recognition of engineers and sees his appointment to the Engineering Council Board as an opportunity to further realise this.
